I bought mine VERY similar to this example. Was just out of National Service, around Easter I think in 1973 from Cooper Ford in Mornington. GS 351 4 speed power steer air con, tint-lam screen, sedan suspension. Same yellow with black upholstery/buckets/carpet. Forget the price. It gave L34s a run with high torque to weight ratio. Fitted 7 and 8 inch Aunger with Bridgestone RD102 stretched over them.Tracked very straight at high speed which was ok as back then the highways were unrestricted, but always carried 80 kg of shot in the little rear panels. People used to gork at it because few utes were anything other than work vehicles back then, and this one was rare with the sedan suspension option. Loved that car so much. Bought an XB GT. BTW the spoiler was not an option, this guy must have fitted it later unless the dealer agreed to it. All good anyway.

I've always wanted one when I was 10.... I'm 46 now and I'm never going to have one. I've always loved the body style and yes mad max started the whole searching for that style of car then went further down the rabbit hole. I wish the United States would have made a few here but no... I love wrong hand drive and the status it always had... I just wish there were more out there and we could get them sent overseas and it wouldn't cost an arm, leg, eye, nuts, and soul. Maybe if I sold my 64vw bug and 1998 honda super hawk I might have a fighting chance on putting a drop in the bucket on getting one.
